This year the teams at Holt Hall and Whitlingham Adventure have created an activity Advent Calendar, so make sure you visit us over the next 24 days for lots of fun things to do, click here or on the image below.

There are many types of advent calendar, the most common ones are made of paper or card and a window is opened every day leading up to Christmas.

This year why not try making your own calendar, maybe a nature inspired one or a kindness calendar. 

• Nature Advent Calendar – plant a seed, feed the ducks or make a fat ball for the birds.
• Kindness Advent Calendar – let someone go ahead of you in a queue, donate books to your local library or do a chore for someone you love.
